The Cycle of Gaming
Honestly, I believe this sums up my gaming life perfectly… though I didn’t “quit” my job.
It’s just one of those situations. I’ve got a lot of video games to play, I just have no time to play them. I still have PlayStation 2 games sitting unopened on the shelf next to me… Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis, Rogue Galaxy and Suikoden Tactics to be exact. I’ve always imagined that one day I would have the time to sit down and actually play all the games that I’ve been collecting all these years. I’m assuming said incident won’t happen until my daughters are much older and have already moved away for college. And who knows how many games I will have hoarded by then?
Even if it is sooner than that, it won’t be that soon. I’ve got a new project launching on September 9th and I still need to finish the remaining comics for the outer circle (with a new one uploaded today). I guess all I can really say is, “Oh, well.”

Or you could pull a Tycho & Gabe and have a videogame-based business, then the job & the games become one and you still have the money for food…

If that doesn’t sound like me….
I got about 8 games that I have yet to open,and many,many more that I started and HAVE NOT BEATEN YET.Such is the way of the working man.
All work and no play makes A.L. a dull boy….and bored.

No mention of the kid? That’s what’s happened to me… From nightly DotA and L4D (bachelorhood), to occasional Plants vs Zombies (marriage), to zilcho (fatherhood).

Or you can be like me and get a job with a 12 hour night shift so most of your shift is video games! Hoorah! (Although I still have 7 games to beat its better than my previous score..like 25 unopened.. but now Its harder to finish those 7 cuz you have nostalgia and want to go play some older games.)
