Nintendo announced last week, at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), that you will be able to download and play Sega Genesis and Turbo Grafx 16 games on the Nintendo Revolution. I am in heaven.
I already suspected that this would happen. Sega titles do very well on the GameCube and since Nintendo already plans on having Super Nintendo games available for download, it seemed like a logical venture. Also, since Hudson was the main supplier of games for the Turbo Grafx and is also very good friends with Nintendo (Mario Party, anyone?), that also seemed a feasible course.
Just imagine if Nintendo has arcade titles available for download or Japanese games that were never released in the US or even NEO GEO games… this system just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter by the day.
