    Not sure…

  • Michael Derry

It was mainly funny just because it was so unexpected and the display of affection stylized as a video game attack sequence was also quite effective but the violent ending was a bit too pro-domestic-violence for my liking. Comedy is comedy but the ending left a bad taste in my mouth, honestly. Perhaps a ‘holy crap did I really just do that!?’ moment at the end, instead, could have changed the social message from ‘never interrupt my video games, woman’ into ‘I’ve been playing way too much Mortal Kombat’.

    • TheyCallMeTomu

It seemed to me like a forced “Video game violence is bad because it’ll get people who play Mortal Kombat to think in terms of everything as violence so they’ll punch their significant others!”

    • LaserWolf

Yeah I’m with you on that. It started off with a neat idea but the ending was horrible. Yikes.

  • KitFisto

    @ M. Derry …. lighten up dude.

    • Michael Derry

I did find it funny. I’m pretty sure I mentioned that… but it could have been just as funny with a different ending.

What’s wrong with a bit of honest critique?

  • TheyCallMeTomu

What kind of fatality was that?!

  • Adare

    Yeah… I don’t think I liked that very much, either…

  • Q

    I lol’d. hard.

  • X_Intolerable_X

He should have stabbed her…. with his penis. IN THE FACE!

  • Crofty

    This was unexpected and funny.
    @GuysAboveMe Chill out.

I don’t know why people are offended by the ending. It was a humorous outlook on domestic violence! By not wanting to see such subject matter and spewing bullshit like “I find that offensive”, society will never get past it and won’t solve this problem.

    • Jeff

So… the way to “get past” domestic violence is to make it seem funny? Not sure how that is supposed to make sense.

  • TheyCallMeTomu

    Man, what a dick :P

  • ed

If you don’t get the fact that they were having a fight, there is no help for you…………..

    • Lord Milkman

The problem is that they WEREN’T having a fight. She hugged him, kissed him, and got clocked for it. The beginning is almost MK over-the-top brutality, amusing in its departure from reality. The end? I dunno. Sad? Maybe people (like me) have trouble with it because it missed the mark of “over the top” and landed squarely in the realm of “realistically tragic”.

  • Chingomil

I think people are just overexagerating this, I mean, the videogame is violence oriented to start with, and think about this, if it was the woman who made the uppercut, would you be pissed?, would you have even called it domestic violence?
