Star Wars Isn’t Special Anymore [ VIDEO ]
This is an excerpt from Red Letter Media’s review of The Last Last Jedi.
I saw The Last Last Jedi in the theaters. I felt it was a mediocre film. Unfortunately, it was this personal opinion of The Last Last Jedi that influenced my decision to skip seeing Solo: A Star Wars Story in the theaters. Judging by Solo‘s less-than-stellar box office numbers, I was not the only one.
For a long time, I have been struggling with my own feelings about not only Star Wars, but fandom in general. I feel almost like an observer of geek culture. Sure we like similar stuff, but I don’t need it nor unconditionally embrace it. It feels like a divide that will only become wider as time goes on.
Regardless, I thought this was a relevant video to share after the past weekend. This video helped to encapsulate some of the thoughts I’ve been having lately.
