Optimistic Motivational Poster

Optimism: Princess is in Another Castle

Had this motivational poster idea floating around in my head for the past week. I didn’t feel it warranted being an actual comic, but I did feel it deserved to be made. So I made it and uploaded it to the blog section.

If you’re looking for some good gaming motivational posters, there’s always some over at Halolz. And if you want to make one yourself, here is a really easy tool to do that with, too. Also, if you wind up creating a good video game one, make sure to send it over to Shawn at Halolz. I know he’d appreciate it.

You Got Metroid in My Castlevania

Super Metroid HD

There was a recent article on Joystiq’s [link] about whether or not Metroid Dread is or isn’t it the works got me thinking about something completely different. That I love Metroidvania games!

For those of you who may not know what a Metroidvania (also known as a Castleroid by someone, but I don’t know who) game  is, it’s a 2D side-scrolling platformer adventure game with emphasis on exploration. I had thought that with the exemplar showing of Playstation 2 that Sony had gotten out of the business of ripping Nintendo off, but I guess I was wrong. Continued…

Two Things to Plug

Wow, I can actually use the phrase “two things to plug” in a sentence without it referring to your mom. BAM!

First off, there’s the 4th Annual Webcomic Holiday Postcard Fundraiser! Where by purchasing any of the holiday themed postcard sets created by webcomic artists, you’ll actually be donating to Child’s Play, a charity that collects toys and donations for sick children each holiday season.

And the other is a Hamthrax t-shirt inspired by this Dueling Analogs comic. Get yours today!

Someone else’s art colored by me…

I did a coloring job on a piece of artwork of the character She from the webcomic Fajita done by Ryan Thompson. If you want to see what the original piece looks like it’s located here and the colored version is located on deviantART. Had a lot of fun coloring it.
