There were indeed millions of things that were great about the 90s that we don’t have today and I can think of a lot of stuff. But the present day has tons of stuff in it that never existed in the 90s and I don’t just mean certain games or tech – but certain changes in values and ways of life. I think we try to “remember the 90s” because hearing no other adults talking about their ‘great childhoods’ makes it seem like they’ve forgotten their childhood and we don’t wanna do that. Apart from 12-year olds with cell phones and a rise in gun violence I don’t see anything going on with this generation that we also didn’t do.

Yeah, the “DURR THE 90z WERE AWEZZOME” thing really grates on my nerves sometimes. I mean, I think one of the best games I’ve ever played was Steins;Gate and that’s only from the past couple of years! (2011, I think?)
