Apart from that stupid post-credit scene, I actually think the ending makes sense. There are still a few plot holes, but overall the ending was really well written.

Anyone who didn’t “get” the ending of this game probably also have no idea what the cat in the box is supposed to be either. (and just because you saw it on big bang theory doesn’t make you smart)

Schroeder’s cat – Until viewed the cat within the box can be both assumed to be alive and dead at the same time, due to this it is not possible to recognize that the cat is anything more then inside the box as doing anything to prove otherwise would reveal the cats status. In reference to Bioshock Infinite, the fact is that Elizabeths ability to open tears allowed her not only to see “inside” the box without opening it, but also view both the alive and dead cat at the same time…

Also, the ending to Bioshock Infinite can be easily explained by The Doctor…

I don’t think you have to understand the concept of Schroedinger’s Cat to understand the ending to bioshock infinite. It also doesn’t make it any less sad. :(

I thought it pretty sad until I watched the post-ending scene. After that I’ve been seeing it as a happy ending…
