So with that said: Will you be getting the game at one of the countless midnight launch events? Or will you just wait to get it on Tuesday? Or some future day down the road? Or not at all? Though I’m not even sure why anyone would accept that option. Nevermind, that is no longer an option. It is unselectable.

One last thing, don’t forget to stop by Otakon‘s artist alley this weekend and say, “Hi” to me. But that’s all. Say more than that and I’m calling security. Just kidding… or am I?

Do people who don’t have laptops still drag their computers over to other people’s houses to play games? To the best of my knowledge that’s all handled online now. They play their World of WarCraft, Left 4 Dead and Command & Conquers through the internet and people aren’t complaining. Maybe the huge LAN competitions might warrant being able to host the tournament locally, but that’s only a small fraction of the people who are actually going to play the game. But that’s just my opinion. You guys probably game a hell of a lot more than me. So, what’s your opinion?

Update: A recent article stated that Blizzard is working on a “pseudo-LAN” solution to the StarCraft II LAN-less problem, that would allow play very similar to a LAN party, with Battle.net only being pinged once or periodically for authentication purposes. [source]

Also, Tradewest has “risen” from the grave… theoretically. Now let’s see if I can finally get my Battletoad fix. Possible happy day indeed.

Why? Because its not a MMO. I was seriously dreading that it would be. I could understand why Blizzard would make it a MMO, as it would definitely generate them more money. But StarCraft is a real time strategy. I know that the WarCraft series was as well, but dammit this isn’t WarCraft its StarCraft and I don’t care about the hypocrisy of my comments.

The game is 3D, looks better, sounds better, and has brand new units. I think the only thing that would make it better would have been if they added another species to the mix. But seeing how this is taking off where Brood Wars left off, it makes more sense not to. Still I can’t wait.

The irony has finally ended and the GeStapo shirt is in stock and available to buy.

Currently only male shirts are available, but female shirts are scheduled for the second printing. As before buy it, wear it proudly and let me know if any GameStop employees say anything about it. Pictures with willing GameStop employees would be an added bonus. I’m thinking about starting a section on the website specifically for that…

Its a rumor, but its a very strong rumor. Well, strong enough for me to do a comic about at least. And here’s the comic I was referencing in today’s strip.

Did you see the shirt that Harvey is wearing in this comic? It’s my I don’t have friends… shirt and its available to own from the Dueling Analogs store. BUY NOW!

I picked up Super Paper Mario this weekend. It is friggin’ awesome. Its a typical Super Mario Bros. game with a twisted. Definitely worth picking up.

Okay, this news post is random so far so let’s keep it going. Here is a way to get 200 quick achievement points for XBox Live… Galaga. Honestly, it took me less than an hour to get all two hundred achievement points. Just keep playing until you get to level 31 and you are guaranteed to get almost all of them. The only one that might give you a little trouble is Perfect Bonus where you have to shoot down all enemies in a Challenging Stage. After you get to level 31 if you haven’t gotten that achievement yet… jump back to level 2, make the dual fighter and keep trying again on level 3 (the first Challenging Stage). After a few times of knowing the pattern and pushing the fire button fast enough, you shouldn’t have any problem getting it.

Lastly, to everyone that contacted me about my NES/N64 game collection. I’ve read all the emails, but haven’t had the time to respond. There was a very large response to my comments. So please, be patient with me and thank you.

Seriously, isn’t it about time for Blizzard to release a new StarCraft game? Blizzard’s only focus right now is World of Warcraft… wow. Now, don’t get me wrong I’m not a WOW hater and I can completely understand why Blizzard is focused on it (with over 6.5 million subscribers and over 50% of MMORPGers market, I would focus on it too). All I’m saying is spread the love.

It’s been almost eight years since the Brood War expansion pack came out and don’t we all need a little Zerging love? I say you take the perfectly good Warcraft III engine, update the graphics a little, throw in some different skins/stories and make it StarCraft 2. They could even add a new race or two. My suggestion, the Mon Calamari… “Its a trap!”

Lastly, Friday is the final day to pre-order your Dueling Analogs t-shirt at the special rate… how about sending me some love?
