<p>Look, I&#8217;m not trying to make excuses. Lord knows I&#8217;ve made my <a href="http://www.duelinganalogs.com/comic/2009/10/26/red-light-district/" title="Red Light District">own</a> <a href="http://www.duelinganalogs.com/comic/2007/08/30/wheres-duke-nukem-forever/" title="Where's Duke Nukem: Forever?">jokes</a> about <em>Duke Nukem: Forever</em> over years. What I&#8217;m saying is that this is the holy grail of our video game culture. The mythical title we&#8217;ve always being promised, but never actually expected to see. So go into the experience hoping to enjoy it. If you don&#8217;t, well then you just take all those hopes and dreams you had for <em>Duke Nukem: Forever</em> and move them over to <em>Starcraft: Ghost</em>. No chance of reality ever crushing them there.</p>

<p>First off, since I received so many requests for print version of the <a href="http://www.duelinganalogs.com/comic/2009/10/12/epic-mickey/">Epic Mickey</a> comic, we&#8217;re going to <a href="http://bigboombomb.com/print_epic.html" target="_blank">offer it up</a> for a limited time on <strong>BigBoomBomb.com</strong>. <p>As far as the comic goes, I honestly have no idea what Duke has been up to for the past decade. But selling his Nukems to get some extra money is as good a guess as any.</p>
<p>I also want to mention that <a href="http://queensforgottenchildren.blogspot.com" target="_blank">Scarlet Pirate</a>, a female gamer (it makes sense why I mention that if you read her comic and the responses), created <a href="http://cdn.duelinganalogs.com/uploads/bsbb-response.jpg" target="_blank">this guest comic</a> in response to the comments of the <a href="http://www.duelinganalogs.com/comic/2009/10/19/blue-shell-blue-balls/">Blue Shell, Blue Balls</a> comic. I really enjoyed receiving this in the email. And on top of that it&#8217;s a very creative way to response to the thread going ons. Heck, if I got more stuff like this I&#8217;ll have to start a fan art section. Which would also be really cool.</p>

But <strong>so</strong> many of you email me about this being a <i>What if&#8230;?</i> comic that I thought I would finally do one. To justify me doing so: Video games are built by using programming languages. Math is a core foundation of programming languages. <i>xkcd</i> is about math. Thus, <i>xkcd</i> is about video games. Or something like that&#8230; All I really know is that I always enjoy reading <i>xkcd</i>, but keep forgetting to add it to my links page. I really need to do that this weekend.</p>
<p>Side note&#8230; I want to say that I&#8217;m sorry for the delay with this comic and lack of a Thursday update last week. I was pretty sick over the past week and just didn&#8217;t have the energy or motivation. <p>Personally I feel sorry for 3D Realms. Not because they haven&#8217;t released the game yet. But because every year that goes by people&#8217;s expectations grow and the standard of quality increases. It would have been much better for them if the game would have been released before the <i>Halo</i>s, <i>Bioshock</i>, the <i>Metroid Prime</i>s and <i>Gears of War</i>. Here&#8217;s hoping they&#8217;re still up for the challenge and the game doesn&#8217;t become another <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/StarCraft:_Ghost" target="blank">vaporware</a>.</p>
<p>I want to remind people that <i>Dueling Analogs</i> has a really cool <a href="http://www.duelinganalogs.com/forum/">forum</a> with a really swell bunch of blokes. I really like talking to current members (trust me I do talk to them as I am the top poster in the forum), but I think it would be even better if we increased the numbers. So do me a favor, <a href="http://www.duelinganalogs.com/forum/">join the forum</a> and become an active member.
