Besides the background image that was from a Christmas mod screen cap, all the images in this comic were rendered in Illustrator. I added the black lines, because without them the comic looked a little too much like a screencap. Not sure if that’s necessarily a bad thing.

So did you guys get all the stuff you were hoping to get for Christmas? Me, not so much. But I really wasn’t expecting anything anyway. So it’s all good. Might buy something in January just for the hell of it, but we’ll have to see. Speaking of which, only four more days left in 2010. Damn, this year has gone by fast.

Only two more days until Christmas. And as such, I decided to do a Christmas themed comic. Poor, poor Sudowoodo. I had a fun time creating this comic and I’m happy that it didn’t take as long to finish as I expected. That’s always a plus.

Well, since I really got nothing more to talk about… I’ve got a question for the comment section. What game are you really hoping to get for Christmas this year? I’m curious to see if the responses will be all over the board or pretty standard.

Not really much to say. Working on a bunch of stuff right now. How about this: both the outer circle and Dueling Analogs are up to date and both comics updated on time for their latest strip, as well. It’s a Christmas miracle.

One last thing though, during the next few weeks because of something special happening Dueling Analogs will be running some guest strips. Just wanted to give you all a heads up as they start running on Monday. No the aforementioned incident has not transpired yet, but due to safety issues it either has to happen naturally or be inducing next week. I’ll still be around, just won’t be as stressed during the beginning worrying about updating the strips.

Dragon Quest IX for the Wii, in my opinion, is a bad idea. Dragon Quest IX on the DS, I am fine with that. The DS has proven itself to be a good RPG console (previous discussion of such here). But I want another real Dragon Quest game and not some Wiified version of an old favorite.

Yes, it could work on the Wii… graphics wise and power wise. But since Square-Enix is trying to appeal to a larger demographic with this incarnation, I think the end result will not live up to the expectations.

If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. The Nintendo DS has proven itself time and time again. The Wii is still a household gimmick. A popular household gimmick. But a gimmick nonetheless.

I was on GoNintendo last night and the site was nothing but advertisements for Ninjatown. So after going through ten or more pages on the site with advertisements for the game being on every one of them, I took the hint.

The game itself has been getting some pretty good reviews. And since I’m a fan tower defense-style games and I just thing the artwork for it looks cool, I’m planning on picking up a copy real soon. Though, if the ninjas in Ninjatown were real ninjas, it would just look like an abandoned village… you can’t see them because they’re ninjas
