Beyond Good Morals

Have you ever heard of Beyond Good and Evil? Chances are you have. Have you ever played it, though? I’m betting… no.

For some reason this title never sold well. It wasn’t because it was bad… IGN: 9 out of 10, GameSpot: 8.3 out of 10, GameSpy: 4.5 out of 5 stars and the combined rating of 25 different reviews on Rotten Tomatoes was 92% out of 100. In my opinion, the game was on par with any of the recent Zelda titles. So, then what happened? Wikipedia says “unfortunate timing of the release against other titles led to disappointing sales”… what a shame.

Good news, is that if you want to buy this title… its dirt cheap. More good news is, there are rumors of a sequel in the works for all of the next-gen consoles. I hope that’s true and if it is that it does much better than its predecessor.
