You know what the hardest part about doing a gaming webcomic is? Creating jokes that relate to video games… All the time. True, I make the occasional self-referencing joke, but that is still a joke that pertains to Dueling Analogs itself. Consider today me catching my breathe for a second, before I start jogging again.

I saw this image on Reddit, for the first time, earlier today. It’s true and rather funny, as well. Unfortunately, the person who uploaded the image shrunk it down a bit so that the text was a little annoying to read. On top of that, they also forgot to include a link to the source of the image and to give credit to the creator of it: Brian Altano. So, I decided to share it here, with you, while giving it the proper credit it deserves.

Honestly, this is one of those things where the list of possible achievements could go on forever (I bet you guys could come up with tons of them yourselves). Which is probably why there’s an online Achievement Unlocked Generator.

And just to let you know, X-Play’s review of Facebreaker was the inspiration for this strip. Not even sure if those achievements would be reason enough for me to get it.

Some of you may feel that fifty thousand is still a small enough amount of XBOX Live achievement points to still have a social life. To those, this comic is dedicated to you. That being said, if you appear on this page I both want to both commend and commiserate you. Seriously, wow but whoa… I joke about fifty thousand and these guys are almost pushing three hundred thousand. I, myself, have been perpetually one hundred points away from ten thousand. I just got GTA IV today. So that won’t be the case for much longer.

Did you see that the number five person is Japanese? That one single guy makes up all the sales that the XBOX 360 has in Japan.

On but off subject. Do you think anyone will ever hit one million during this generations actual life span? What is highest total achievement points anyone could even have right now if they had them all? Just wondering…

A lot of us are guilty of playing crappy 360 games just for the achievements. I myself am even guilty of said crime. That’s the only reason I ever played King Kong, Madden ’06 and Open Season was for the easy achievement points… okay, Open Season wasn’t actually that bad, but I still wouldn’t have played it if it hadn’t been for the achievements. Still, those three thousand tainted achievement points still haunt me to this very day. None the less, I heard that TMNT is quick and easy one thousand points. I should really rent that soon.
