Final Fantasy VII Remake Would Take 10x Longer than XIII

Yoichi Wada, CEO of Square-Enix, tweeted that a Final Fantasy VII remake would take a ridiculously longer amount of time to finish developing than Final Fantasy XIII.
Yoichi Wada:
We get this question all the time from lots of countries. At this level of quality it took us 3-4 years to finish FF13, but if we were to finish a FF7 remake at the same level of quality it would take 10 times as long, so it’s a difficult issue and not just something we could start at any time.
However, with the request being so frequent it’s something we keep to heart.
If he might have said twice as long, I could have given him a free pass. But 10 times as long!? That’s 30-40 years. The video game industry itself is barely that old. But then again I need to take into consideration that Yoichi Wada are completely different people. After all, I’m not the CEO of Square-Enix and he’s full of shit.

It’s a Rubik’s Cube with Mega Man stage select screens on them instead of colored stickers. Nice…

Webcomics – Change You Can Believe In
No, I’m not talking about how much webcomic artists make off of their endeavors. I’ve already discussed that before. No I’m discussing the ever changing world of webcomics. You see in the past week alone there’s been three major changes to the webcomic microcosm: a partner swap, a reduction and an ending.
Now I’ve been working regularly on webcomics for the past six years beginning with Bored and Evil in ’04. And in that time I’ve seen a lot of webcomics start, stop and change. But when all of these events transpired at the same time it caused me to step back and reflect.
In case you aren’t aware of what events I am talking about, allow me to explain… Continued…
Discussion: How Many is Too Many Per Page?
How many is too many news/blog articles per page?
Just imagine, you visit a blog site and start reading the articles. At what point does the next button appear too early on the page? Or at what point is the abundance of articles overwhelming?
It’s a matter of personal opinion. I doubt there’s a study out there that tells the ideal amount of entries that should be displayed per page. But I could be wrong.
If you include the comic on the homepage, Dueling Analogs displays 6 posts on it’s main page and 5 on each sequential page. On the other hand, the average gaming webcomic displays only 1 post on the main page and 1 on each page that follows as well. With that said Dueling Analogs is also considered a gaming blog as well. And top gaming blogs like Joystiq and ShackNews both displays 15 posts per page. While Kotaku displays a whopping 40.
So here’s the question: How many is too many news/blog articles per page? Or to a lesser degree: How many is too few?
