Out of those 13 million WoW players, I think there’s something like 10 000 playing on the same server you are. And out of those, only half belong to your faction. And out of those 5 000 there’s let’s say 2 500 of the opposite sex (homosexuals have it harder, with an estimated 250 homosexuals of the same sex). And if you and your true love is online what, 1.5 hours a day on average, there’s a 1/16 chance you’re both playing at the same time. So then all you have to do is happen to connect to the same chat channel to meet although, to be fair, the trade channel makes that very likely.

Yeah I’d get right on with that, if I didn’t loathe the socializing part of MMOs.

Holy crap, me too. She left me for a guy literally, LIVING IN HIS MOTHER’S BASEMENT in IOWA because they raid so well together, rather than have a real world relationship with her husband and her son. He moved into HER basement, and doesn’t pay the rent, but MAN he can sure DPS.

A few illogical connect-the-dots in there, but I was impressed to realize that the suspension bridge effect may actually trigger to some degree in a high-tension raid, possibly putting just a tiny bit more love in the air.
