Checking it out on GameFAQs, the only walkthrough they have lists some passwords at the bottom and one of them, KJTTJK, is an invincibility code.

Also has Full Power weapons, Unlimited Continues and Level Skip codes.

Somebody needs to find this kid and tell him.
