Super Mario Bros. D’oh!

Super Mario Bros. D'oh!
So let me get this straight, not only is Super Mario Bros. 2 unoriginal because it is nothing more than Doki Doki Panic with new sprites…But now we learn that the cover for Super Mario Bros. 2 is basically a tracing of the original Super Mario Bros. cover from Japan. Next we’re going to learn that the Nintendo Wii was nothing more than a repackaged Gamecube with a Power Glove controller thrown in.

To be fair, SMB2 added somethings. Like more animation to many background objects (Cherries, POW Blocks, vines, grass, Crystal Balls, Bomb fuses, water, cloud platforms, and spikes)…. And the Phantos (evil floating mask) wouldn’t immediately chase you upon picking up the key in DDP, they would wait until you left the room.

And most importantly, the Clawgrip boss (giant crab at the end of world 5) wasn’t in DDP. It was just another mouser.

… Oh, but DDP had save files.

…. BUT you had to beat the game with all four characters to actually win.

    So yeah.

Phanto does chase you in the room in SMB2, in DDP he didn’t, also it had a normal face instead of the evil face in SMB2…

Other things SMB2 added were the running (you can’t run in DDP so it’s harder to pass the game), the sound effects and music, and the number of hits Wart needed to be defeated…
