I know some waitresses who would at least consider killing for a job like that. It’d probably also be a popular job for women who’ve not enjoyed working at maid cafes.

I’m reminded of tsundere cafes in Japan. For the uninitiated, a “tsundere” is a typically-female character who can go from lovey-dovey to bitch in the drop of a hat (often dropped by their loser boyfriend). In a tsundere cafe, your waitress is immediately hostile towards you, but warms up to you during your visit and eventually apologizes. I’m not sure how popular they are (this is Japan, after all), but I hear the waitresses enjoy working there. After all, how many businesses pay you to be rude to customers (intentionally)?
