Chatroulette, and similar websites/services, have taught us a very valuable lesson: Somewhere in the male psyche is a little voice that tells them that if they see a female online, they obviously want to see their penis. Of course, that voice also informs them that every female secretly wants to have sex with them, as well.
This comic reminds me of another Dueling Analogs comic I did back in April of ’07. Four years later and still thankful I don’t have a camera for Xbox Live.

It’s the sad truth. This, and the fact that the site owners never provide actual supervision by admins and moderators who could easily handle this kind of thing. Heck, even semi-automatic solutions like votes would make a huge difference, but no. Lazy Daisy just want some more inb4-ad space…

But ratings, star systems, whatever, only work if the people that utilize them are acting in a moderately acceptable manner to begin with. But then we wouldn’t be having these problems if they did, now would we?

Yes, there are no better solutions than human admins. And since those are not available, the sites won’t get visited by masses of regular people so that actual admins would pay off…

I was banned from chatroulette for apparently breaking the rules, which is interesting as I was just flicking through cameras finding non penis cams.

If people acted like they do on the internet, a simple comment about it being cold outside would turn into 5 people around the person berating him/her for being a temperature noob.

Okay…this explains all those restraining orders, and the pepper-spray I’ve received over the years. Lesson learned, only show them the goods if they ASK to see it from now on.
