… Unfortunately true.. When playing new super mario bros. I have to be player 2~4 because p1 is defaulted to mario with no way to change.

In Super Mario Bros 2 (the true one we call LOST Levels, not the one Japan called Mario USA), you can Player 1 can play as Luigi, of course, it’s not a 2-Player game but still.
