Good to know that whether or not the government is active it’s still business as usual.
It’s a federal government shutdown. Animal Crossing would be a local government.
Being a politics junkie during the shutdown is harder than being someone who doesn’t follow that stuff. If you don’t follow it, you’re thinking “Oh god, will everyone just shut the !@#$ up about this?” If you’re a politics junkie, it’s “Oh god, will everyone that doesn’t know what the !@#$ they’re talking about please shut the !@#$ up about this? I’m tired of having to correct people about all this stupid crap, as if I expect that will lead to an informed citizenry.”
Go ahead-laugh at my suffering. Laugh!
Because of the lull in government shutdowns in the past decade, people think it’s an uncommon thing. Just jump back to the 80’s and they happened all the time.
There’s a bit of an apples to oranges thing going on.
