Fly on the Wall [ COMIC ]

So I have been getting mixed opinions about The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the Nintendo 3DS. As someone who does not own a 3DS, remember I’m still waiting for Mega Man Legends 3 to come out before I pick one up, I might not ever get a chance to play the game. Nonetheless, I have seen people that I would normally think would love this “link to nostalgia” hate it and people who general bash anything from The Legend of Zelda franchise love it. So I just don’t know. I’m so confused…

Oh! Just to let you know, all of the “You might all like” links mentioned below deal with a very similar themes to this comic. Gamers clearly have a one track mind.

Mega Man Legends 3 won’t be on the 3DS. The 3DS is too sane. Mega Man Legends requires the sort of madly idealistic decision making that causes someone to yell ‘yeah, we’ll make it a Wii U exclusive’. Think about it, what better console for Mega Man Legends than one that was heavily misunderstood but actually ended up being really awesome (looks like a Wii, is a DS). That’s why Wind Waker HD is such a great fit.
My theory is the Wii U is going to turn into a really sad victory lap for games that were misunderstood in their own time but eventually gained critical acclaim, but then they’ll sell terribly as exclusives because nobody understands the Wii U. =P

I’ve been playing it for a bit now and it is actually quite fun. The renting of items is a little weird but you are always prepared and you make plenty of rubies so its not really an issue. I would say you should consider trying it out at some point. Maybe with a 2DS instead of a 3DS? Its a bit cheaper in some places right now due to the sales so that could be a way for you to play some of these games.

I loved The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Probably in my top 5 Zelda games. Although I was never that impressed with Link to the Past as I started with Link’s Awakening, so that might colour my opinion differently to others.

I really hope it gets a sequel, preferably a direct one. The Link’s Awakening to ALBW’s LttP.
