Memories are subjective. Cloud seems have decided not to remember certain things.
Nonetheless, not being a personal fan of Aeris Aerith I still did find this comic touching.

The Mrs. and I are part of the Cloud + Tifa camp ourselves. Besides, we see Aeris reunited with Zack at the end of Advent Children, and Crisis Core showed that a lot of the memories and feelings that Cloud had were really Zack’s.
