Classic Dueling Analogs #5 [ COMIC ]

With all the awesome stuff going on at E3 right now (ie. the Nintendo 3Ds and it’s shitload of awesome games, new Mortal Kombat, Bulletstorm, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Twisted Metal, Portal 2) you would think it would be easy for me to come up with a new idea for a comic. And you would be right, because I did. Unfortunately, coming up with an idea and actually having the time allotted to do so are two different things.

I wish I could talk about what is taking up all my time. But I find that if I actually talk about said projects they never come to fruition.  Let’s just say that there’s a lot that’s going on and hopefully I will be able to prove it pretty soon.

So during the interim, let’s just enjoy a classic Dueling Analogs and then weigh in on your opinions about this year’s E3. I’ll start…

Nothing from the Microsoft camp at E3 really excites me. It’s about friggin’ time that Twisted Metal is coming out for the PS3. Nintendo pretty much dominated the show. I really want to get a hold of a Nintendo 3Ds. Game wise: Donkey Kong Country Returns, Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Kid Icarus equal awesome. Disappointed that the Wii HD was not announced. I really thought it would be. I like how Mortal Kombat is returning to it’s roots. And Bulletstorm looks frantically sweet.

Now, it’s your turn…

I was just wondering if Steve had some voodoo magic he wasn’t telling us about. Not ten minutes after reading this I noticed two damn dead pixels on my brand new TV.

    love dead pixel saga
On E3: Was I only one that thought that at the end of the Nintendo Keynote Reggie was gonna say “And once again, people will walk away and say, Nintendo has won E3”

  • I was thinking at the end of the Sony conference that, when people were getting up, we would hear Duke Nukem’s voice: “Where the fuck do you think you’re going?”

And BAM!, Duke Nukem Forever for the PS3. That would be a friggin GIGAton.

About the big 3 keynotes at E3:

For me Nintendo dominated because of the 3DS and the titles, especially Zelda, the art is superb and the gameplay looked great, besides this is Master Shigeru… I’m really digging Kid Icarus return, Kirby, Kingdom Hearts 3D and DKCR…

Sony had it’s awesome with extra awesomesauce in Twisted Metal (FINALLY), Valve working on Sony platforms (Gabe Newell cracked me up with the “punch in the face” bit), and Kevin Butler, the greatest thing happening to Sony marketing since the PS1 days… I still have to try the Move, some of the games for it looked good, some were shovelware… Killzone 3D? as long as the PS3 can pull that extra rendering off with 720p and 30 fps, i’m great…

Microsoft, mehhhhh, the new console was a given after what Sony did with the Slim, ESPN??? no thanks, i already have my sports fix in my cable plan, Reach, Fable III and Gears 3 looked good but that was also a given, Kinect didn’t show any game that attracts me (and BTW i prefer the codename Natal)… So 2 things that didn’t attract me, and the rest were already known… Not good…

This was always one of my favorites. :-)

Totally loving the new Zelda. Looks like Link to the Past in 3D, which is awesome. Now I’m firmly in the Wii/PS3 combo camp. No longer holds the 360 any interest for me.

I’ve had a psp for 3 years now and no dead pixels but what I DO get is dust. I bought a screwdriver to take the faceplate off and clean it all off so now my only problem is the scratches on the screen =O
