Attention, Everyone!

Attention, Everyone!

I honestly wonder if any long-term relationship started out like this:

“Well Son… I was playing Call of Duty when I heard a female request support. So I asked her to show me her tits and we’ve been together ever since.”

I really, really, really, REALLY hope that this someday becomes so common that brats will no longer pay attention to girls playing online videogames. Then and only then will we be able to stop with this bullshit. :/

But this applies to lots of bullshit that happens on- and offline, basically because of stupidity. I’m afraid that’s never gonna change :(

Never going to happen. The people who say things like that are not doing it because women on the internet are rare. They do it because they think it makes them cool. Same goes for posting ‘FIRST’ in comments or on sites that use photo notes claiming ‘MINE’ on the boobs and crotches of any women.

Much like other types of bigot comments they will be around as long as we have idiots who want to make themselves look cool by being an ass.

Why'd you tag this as Call of Duty? The comic mentions that their playing TF2

Mistake on my part. Since I mentioned Call of Duty in the post, I had it on my mind when I added the tags.

And then they probably pitched a fit for losing and blamed her. If only she'd called out that the sentry was down. If only.

I admit that while I’m not strictly guilty of this sort of thing, I do get surprised when I find out one of the players I’m playing with is female. It’s annoying that it does surprise me, because I know many of the players are female. I do also find it frustrating when people do that sort of thing because it’s perpetuating a negative stereotype.

This is sadly very accurate. Pokemon Online wouldn't leave me alone the one time I admitted my gender, and my whole WoW server treated me like a moron. I never admit to being female anymore if possible.

Actually it looks like she’s using the numpad.

I mean who the fuck uses the numpad for gaming, bet she’s probably playing TF2 on Linux.

My sister puts on a sexy voice and begins taunting the other players. She wins more often than not because of this.

Actually, many years ago, I was playing call of duty modern warfare when I heard a woman on the other team in the lobby say something. My team immediately told her to get back in the fucking kitchen and treated her like shit. She ended up having the highest score on her team and I added her to my friends list, ended up playing cod and gears together for about 2 years with her and her all girl team she was on. Made some friends I got to meet IRL and one of them is my best friend 6 years later.

TL:DR I chose to treat a woman online like an ADULT and made a lot of friends because of it.

    This is a sad fact.
I either get "omg, you're so a 12 year old boy" and get treated like crap or what is seen above…
