Wiiiii vs. PS3 [ COMIC ]
On Monday, I saw the news about the Nintendo Wii outselling Sony’s PlayStation 3 five to one (ironically the Nintendo DS is also outselling Sony’s PSP five to one as well) and thought it was funny. Then, today I just saw that Sony Computer Entertainment of America (SCEA) has laid off roughly 80 to 100 employees and that wasn’t so funny.
I’m all for poking fun at Sony, but people losing their jobs because of mistakes by higher ups (that probably still get to keep theirs) its not so much fun. I understand the nature of business and with Sony losing almost $2 billion (USD) in the previous fiscal year, job cuts were inevitable. Still, it doesn’t not make me feel sorry for those who were affected and I wish them the best of luck with their future employment.
