Just watch.
muymanwell @pierski but is it a movie, or a game?
pierski @muymanwell I guess we’ll have to wait until E3.

I think it’s a real movie, if it was a game they’d show game play right? Plus I saw this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0293429/

I think this will be a movie because I’m pretty sure Midway have announced that if they make a new MK game, it would have completely new characters.
(SPOILERS FOR MORTAL KOMBAT ARMAGEDDON)
Everyone gets killed at the end except for Taven so a new game would likely have new characters but then again it might be a reboot to tell the story more clearly.

Pretty sure its a movie, and a reboot considering Johnny Cage Died in the 2nd movie (or its been that long since I’ve seen it). Definitely an interesting take on the game though and I guess we’ll have to see more when they come to really get an idea of what to expect.

The Borzoi, maybe I saw a different ending from you, but I remember Armageddon’s Konquest ending saying something about an “unexpected third scenario,” as opposed to stripping the Kombatants of their powers, or killing them, where absolutely nothing happened. Main reason I remember is because my reaction was along the lines of, “Well, Midway certainly went back on their word of this game being the ‘final’ one in the series.”
Movie looks cool, though the idea of having both Noob and Johnny Cage dead before the movie actually starts seems like a bit of a disappointment for something that appears to be a reboot.

It’s been a while since I’ve played it so you could be right there. I’ll have to re-watch the ending.

Wow I can’t believe I’m excited for a mortal kombat movie. That looks so good!

Come on, it has the looks and feel of a short, not a feature length movie. Made to promote the new game in a big budget way, just like Halo, AC2 and others did.

Well, apparently I’m the only one who thinks this is sacrilege.
